With 72% of the membership voting The Contract Proposal is Ratified Affiliated with American Federation of Labor, Congress of Industrial Organization, and the Canadian labour Council

Local 382 and the UTA have reached a tentative agreement for the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the membership ratification vote to take place on Tuesday, April 5, 2011.

After going through the lengthy legal process, the arbitrator's ruling has finally made it to our office whereas he ruled in favor of ATU Local 382.  It stated that UTA did indeed violate provisions of the 13C Protective Arrangements and ordered that all terms and conditions of the expired Collective Bargaining Agreement shall be made retroactive to December 21, 2009.

Our 13C arbitration decision is due any time now. We were led to believe we would have it by mid-November, but now it seems to have been pushed to the end of November. The decision is coming.

In the next few months we are hoping to have a decision from the arbitrator which will start directing the path this current battle goes. Our ability to fight this current situation and attack we have been under, is only because we have a Union on property. Without the Union, the ability to fight is greatly diminished if almost non-existent.

Election results are in for the top two positions of our International Executive Officers.

Let me start with stating a special thanks to all the veterans and current service men and women who served and continue to serve this country well, and a thanks to our retirees who continue to support this Union. You do not get thanked enough, and Local 382 thanks you.
