Yes it’s time again for Nominations for Union Officers; here are some of the guide line for being nominated, and the rules for disqualification.

The Local voted  to  (85% for and 15% against) to ratify the tentative agreement that was reached at the end of March. The Polls saw record participation with around 72% of the membership participating in the vote.

Voters are likely to be confused by Constitutional Amendment A on the Nov. 2 ballot. It would specify that all elections, including those “to designate or authorize employee representation,” be by secret ballot. In other words, elections to create union representation at Utah businesses would have to be by secret ballot.
